I worked in terminology and with terminology tools for the private and public sectors before becoming a professor with the Département d’études langagières at the Université du Québec en Outaouais for 12 years. In 2009, I joined the School of Translation and Interpretation.

Ongoing Research
Influence from Québec on Catalonia in the fields of terminology, language planning and policies. Research carried out in collaboration with Judit Freixa i Aymerich, from the Institut Universitari de Lingüística Aplicada of Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
Projects involving terminometrics, i.e. on the measure of term usage. This is a rather new discipline. R&D for terminometrics software. Collaborations with the Université du Québec en Outaouais, the National Research Council of Canada, the Language Technology Research Centre, the Translation Bureau of Canada and the Office québécois de la langue française.
